How it works

Install. Sign in. Your PC becomes a remote device.

Install the background agent

Sontairo Agent runs silently in your system tray — no visible window needed. It registers your PC as a trusted device with your Sontairo workspace.

Sign in through Sontairo

The agent uses the same Sontairo account. Complete browser sign-in once and the machine stays linked for remote tasks.

Automatic device session

The agent maintains an outbound device session with Sontairo, ready to receive instructions without opening any ports or exposing local services.

Run desktop control remotely

Queue tasks from the Sontairo web dashboard. The agent executes them locally using Agent-S3 automation, with the Hugging Face Nemotron model handling screen understanding.

Connected surfaces

Control your desktop from anywhere.

The agent supports three control modes so teams can choose between the web dashboard, local command entry, and private model experiments without changing accounts.

1

Site mode

Send desktop tasks from the Sontairo web dashboard or chat. The agent polls for queued instructions and executes them, returning results to the workspace.

2

Desktop app mode

Open the settings window from the system tray to enter and run tasks directly when you want the agent to be the command center.

3

Local model mode

Point the agent at an OpenAI-compatible local model endpoint for private local experimentation without cloud dependencies.

Architecture

Outbound polling, no open ports.

The agent never listens for incoming connections. It registers as a device, polls for queued instructions, executes them using Agent-S3 with the Hugging Face Nemotron model, and reports results — all over outbound HTTPS.
